Where can I purchase my Rider’s License?

How do I protect my Rider’s License from loss or theft?
Physical card: When you first receive your card, be sure to write down the 9-digit card number, located in the lower right-hand corner of the card. You can write it on the card packaging or keep it in another secure place. If you lose your card, contact UTA Customer Service to have your lost card deactivated and a new one issued to you. You must have the 9-digit card number of the original Rider’s License card.
Transit Mobile Pass: If your phone is lost, stolen, or damaged and you cannot access your Transit app, contact UTA Customer Service.
What do I need to do before I ride using the mobile app?
Open the Transit app to display your active Rider’s License when you board a bus or as you are asked for proof of fare from a UTA police officer or fare inspector on FrontRunner, TRAX, S-Line, or other UTA service
What is the age limit on Rider’s License?
The person using Rider’s License must be between the ages of 6-18 years.
I am over the Rider’s License age limit — can I purchase a pass?
The person using Rider’s License must be between the ages of 6-18 years. A parent may purchase a card for their child.

I want to purchase more than one Rider’s License, is there a discount for purchasing more than one pass?
There is no discount for multiple pass purchases.
What dates is Rider’s License good for?
Rider’s License is good from June 1 through August 31.
Can I use Rider’s License on the entire UTA system?
Rider’s License is valid on bus (including UVX), TRAX, S-Line, FrontRunner, and UTA On Demand. Rider’s License does not include Ski Bus or Paratransit service.

Is my travel limited to a certain amount per day?
No! Rider’s License is a premium unlimited pass. This means that you can ride authorized UTA services as little or as much as you need. Use it to get to work, play, or school.

I lost my pass. What do I do?
The quickest solution is to visit your closest UTA Customer Service location or call 801-RIDE-UTA (801-743-3882), Option 5, and talk with a Customer Focus agent to replace your lost or stolen card. You will need the 9-digit card number in order to replace a lost or stolen card.
Do I get a better deal with Rider’s License or the Reduced Fare FAREPAY Card?
Youth under the age of 19 qualify for reduced fare, but if you plan to ride more often during the summer, a Rider’s License may be more cost-effective than a Reduced Fare FAREPAY Card:
- With Rider’s License, the one-time $49 purchase is good for unlimited rides every day, 7 days a week from June 1 to August 31.
- To use a Reduced Fare FAREPAY Card for unlimited rides, you would pay between $104 (local service) and $208 (premium service) over the same time span (June 1-August 31).
